Grab Bag: Things To Do This Weekend

KCRW has been serving up an awesome menu filled with delicious goodies for your ears through their Summer Nights concert series, hosted at One Colorado Courtyard in Pasadena. This week, the series brings you Seattle, WA's Motopony. The fun starts at 7:30PM but get there early for decent parking options and a nice walk around the neighborhood.

What's that? You don't want to drive ALL the way to Pasadena? Listen, asshole...don't fret. Catch their in-store set at Origami Vinyl earlier that same day at 1PM. Be sure to check out our giveaway post for a chance to win a signed copy of the band's 12".

LA Vegan Beer Fest returns on Saturday. Get your tickets yesterday. People are finally starting to catch on.




I'm not going to lie. I totally am that girl that has a soft spot for Maná. Lucky for me and my kind, the Mexican boys known for their "ojos tapatios: are in town this weekend. Catch them at The Staples Center on Sunday.

Late Notice BUT Mark Your Calendar: Buzzbands Presents Second Tuesdays

The Buzz Bands gang puts together a decent line up of singers/song writers every month at Lot 1 Cafe (a venue that is becoming one of my favorite local hang out spots because the St. Bernardus is always nice and cold, the desert menu usually consists of delectable little cupcake-sized treats and music between bands isn't so loud that you can't enjoy a conversation with a friend or one of the Usual Suspects). This month, Sir Bronson and Co. host Luz Elena (of Y La Bamba), Chris Accardo and Mark Lane at SecondTuesday (yeah, I know, tomorrow night, but I've been busy getting busy so just chill out and come for a beer before you hit the hay).

Doors: 9pm
Cover: $5 at the door
